FAQs

What is Clustezer?
Clustezer is the app that uses text clustering algorithms to group key phrases of a text or web page into self-determined thematic clusters (topics).
What is the purpose of clustering a text or web page?
Using text clustering developed by Clustezer, it is possible to analyse a text or web page and identify the main topics or characters (cluster topics) and their related phrases by topic. For each cluster, the representative topics are given the most semantically relevant terms within the identified cluster. If two different clusters report the same representative terms (topic) then the processing can probably be repeated by decreasing the number of expected topics/clusters.
What types of texts are most effectively clustered?
The best results are obtained by trying to cluster pages of generalist portals (dealing with different topics), online news reports, or even log files to group, for instance, the main types of exceptions occurring in a web server, in which case, in addition to natural language terminator characters, it is possible to specify specific keywords that can facilitate the identification of specific clusters.
What is the optimal value of Cluster Granularity?
Cluster Granularity is the expected value of the number of clusters in the text. Start with the preset Cluster Granularity value. If you notice in the results that two or more clusters have the same name (cluster name), then you can repeat the processing with a smaller number of clusters in order to merge those with a common name (argument). On the contrary, if you notice elements (phrases) within a cluster that you consider to form a separate cluster, repeat the processing by increasing the number of clusters. In the end you will obtain a set of clusters each with a different name (topic) ;)
Which languages are supported by NelSenso.Net apps?
NelSenso.Net apps supports the following languages: Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Greek, Russian, Polish, Swedish, Czech, Romanian, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Arabic, Chinese.
What kind of documents are supported by the NelSenso.Net apps?
NelSenso.Net apps supports documents in plain text format, through copy-paste of the content and hypertext (html) through the relative web address (URL). At the moment the NelSenso.Net tools do not support files (pdf, word, excel, powerpoint, etc.) whether they are on your computer or on the cloud (Google Documents, etc).
Can I specify the size of the documents obtained?
The NelSenso.Net tools includes in their functionality settings that allow you, indicatively, to customize the percentage of the desired summary.
Is the size of the text to be summarised or edited unlimited?
No, but almost ;) The NelSenso.Net tools allow you to summarise or edit up to the first 10000 characters. For larger documents it will be necessary to divide them into different texts of a compatible size.
Can I use the NelSenso.Net apps for free?
Of course you can! You can currently use the NelSenso.Net tools for free.
