FAQs
Text sentiment analysis is the process of identifying and evaluating the emotions and attitudes expressed within a written text. This process is often carried out using machine learning algorithms that analyse the words and phrases used in the text, trying to identify positive, negative or neutral sentiments that are expressed.
Sentiment analysis can be used in various contexts, including business and social contexts. For example, a company might use sentiment analysis to monitor customer satisfaction with its products or services, while a non-profit organisation might use sentiment analysis to evaluate the success of an advertising or awareness-raising campaign.
Tonetizer returns an indicator of the overall sentiment of the processed text (SWAS: Saliency Weighted Average Sentiment), the indicator ranges from -100 (extremely negative sentiment) to zero (neutral tone) to +100 (extremely positive sentiment).
In addition to the SWAS Tonetiser lists the keywords (typically adjectives or adverbs) that are most semantically relevant in the text and that contributed most to the calculation of sentiment (SWAS).
